Vagrant, NFS and Catalina

As we all know macOS Catalina adds a lot of funny permission pop ups to the interface. Annoying, but at least you know what to do and most things do work after clicking the “OK” button.

But if you are using VirtualBox, or vagrant and you are trying to mount a directory into your VM using nfs, you don't get any pop up message. You don't even get a usable error message. It just does not work.

Well, someone needs Full Disk Access, of course. The good old /sbin/nfsd obviously.

Go to Settings, Security & Privacy, Privacy, Full Disk Access, click Add, type Cmd + Shift + G and enter /sbin/nfsd. After rebooting your VM everything should work now! It's like magic!
